Matt 13:58
"He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith [disbelief]."
What if your life was limited only because of the constraints in which you created or took up for your life? ..or because of your disbelief? Disbelief or doubt creates a glass ceiling in our lives where our own understanding or words from others are allowed to outweigh the understanding and Word/Promises of God.
I believe that ALL things are truly possible for God, and that He is limited by nothing. This is not only what I believe but also, if it were not so, then it would make Jesus a liar, for he said "...with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible." (Matt 10:27) Jesus is not a liar. When we stand in faith, we surrender our control or understanding to God and acknowledge that He is limited to nothing. It shatters any glass ceiling and opens the ability for God to be...well God and move in our lives! The "mountains" and "impossibles" diminish...sometimes in a moment and sometimes there's somewhat of a journey. Nonetheless, God will be with you! He is limited to nothing!
I believe that we can create limitations on situations and circumstances, and that 1) God gives us opportunities in those moments for our faith to be tested, for us to act on what we say and believe, and for our faith to grow. When our faith is tested, He waits for the person to actually fully surrender, let go, embrace, trust, apply what they believe, and step into His presence maybe for the first time and maybe for just for a moment to actually act on the prayer or need requested. He once said, "faith, belief without seeing or trust without understanding, as small as a mustard seed would move a mountain." Do you believe that? IT WOULD MOVE A MOUNTAIN? What mountain is in your life today? 2) Other times God blows and bust through those man created limitations to show His glory, majesty, and power over all. God knows His reasoning for both of these approaches. I encourage you to trust Him in either. Ofcourse, we would all prefer instantaneous action when things feel too much but sometimes it is the journey through the toughest storms that God shows us the potential, strengths, and abilities that placed in us and that through Him are within us and for us to live out our purpose!
I feel it important to mention that God wants us to grow and mature. As a parent watches for milestones to be reached for his child and celebrates on those achievements so does God. He knows what we are capable of if we would only step into and seek who we are through Him. He gives us freewill and choice to live in His ways or be stubborn in our own. Sometimes we must "wait on the LORD". This is an action not an act complacency or absence of moving, but continuing to move forward in life, to stand and sometimes kneel before Him, and continue while still seeking God earnestly waiting for His command or guide and refusing to doubt. I assure you from personal testimony that if you turn your "ear" to the LORD and seek Him with all your heart in any moment but definitely when the storm is raging, you will indeed find Him, and He will indeed guide, protect, and strengthen you! But will you listen? You are responsible of action! Many people get angry at God for a situation never considering their choices within it or lack of His counsel.
I ask you...do you take Jesus at His word? Are you a tree in the glass box growing in the forest?
I have learned that many will say after reading or hearing someone speak or sing, "That's a good word!", but as much as their hearts receive it with joy, when faced with fearful life situations: financial needs, marital stresses, parenting stresses, bad medical reports, or even a scary situation of danger they no longer remember that "good word" and stumble or fall back into that distrust and clinging to what they can see or understand. I say this not with condemnation but rather to encourage growth. I grew up as an athlete. My coaches gave constructive criticisms and truths that were not always "feel good" notions, not that we would become angry or give up, but instead be able to push ourselves and grow to achieve victory and championship; to perform to our fullest potential. In the same way, I encourage you! God wants us at our fullest potential because He not only believes you can...He knows you can!
---Closing Remarks----
I encourage you to Self-reflect in order to grow! Do you take God at His word? Bust through your doubts today! Be free...for you are already free. The only limits on your life are the lies that you choose to believe that contradict the Word of God and His promises for you. It starts with an act as small as a mustard seed...Stand in your faith. Sometimes standing in our faith in our spirit is kneeling face down with tears streaming out of our eyes in the lap of the Living God. Tears are not a sign of weakness. If life is too much for you to hold, be encourage because the Living God who LOVES you is able and wants you to give it to Him. As I say this I ask you to think beyond what your eyes can see and what your mind can understand and REST in knowing He has you. Embrace the Lord God that loves you...Live with His possibilities and promises for you life. How? Ask...and seek Him. Find out His Word and promises to your life and hold to them in all moments. And always Praise Him.
Don't settle for less...when you have been freely given it all.
"For all things are possible through Christ who gives me strength"(Phil 4:13)....To God be the glory!
